What
is meant by the prices stated in the auction catalogue?
This

clients. We cannot accept any underbidding without asking the consigner.
The price is stated in Euro.

What
is the total price that has to be paid for each lot?

the hammered price. To the total sum of all lots bought we add postage
,insurance and bank charges.
Private clients within the EU: The commission rate for gold and
silver coins is 15 % plus 10 % VAT. For all other coins and decorations
we charge 20 % commission in which the VAT of 20 % is included.

of € 4,--) as well as bank charges are added.
Private Clients in Germany: The commission rate for gold and silver
coins is 15 % plus 7 % VAT. For all other coins and decorations
we charge 16 % commission in which the VAT of 16 % is included.

of your company as registered for the Euro identification number.)
Coin dealers without an Euro identification number pay the same
VAT as private clients.
How
can I bid if I am not present?
There
are two possibilities: either you send us written bids or you take
part by phoning. The filled in written bid sheet you can either
send by post or fax. You can also make you bids by e-mail and use
the easy bidding facilities of the auction catalogue online. Bids
placed by telephone are accepted at the caller's risk.
If you would like to take part in the auction by bidding personally
on the telephone, please inform us prior to the auction, so that
we can note your client number so as not to disturb the fluency
of the auction. In either case, in placing bids, written or oral,
the client accepts H.D. Rauch GmbH's conditions of sale.
What
happens if two or more bidders make the same offer?
The first offer received is accepted.
Can
I place a top limit on my bids?
It
is always possible to indicate an upper limit on your bid, ie the
amount to which you would bid if you were attending the auction
in person. This upper limit relates only to the hammered price.
There is also the option to placing alternative bids; please put
the word "or" between the lot numbers. In this case, if you have
won the earlier lot, we will not continue to bid on the following
lots. If you have been unsuccessful on an earlier lot, we will continue
to execute bids for alternative lots until a bid is successful.

What
happens if an error is made?
a)
Misdescribed lots: the description prevails over the photograph.
If the description is wrong, for example the date, but the year
can be clearly seen on the photo, this is mentioned on the floor
but the written bids are accepted, assuming that the clients have
realised the error. If the photo does not help to clarify the error
and it is a common coin, the written bids are not accepted and those
on the floor are taken, except if the bidder writes and confirms
to us that he realises a mistake has been made. If the coin is of
value, we will withdraw the coin and put it in the next auction.
b)
Wrong bidding. According to auction regulations, the bidder is responsible
for his error. If we notice the error because the lot number and
text to not match, we try to clarify it before the auction. The
client cannot claim to have checked his bids by us.
c)
For misunderstood bids entered by phone, the bidder is responsible.
We advise that bids made by phone should be confirmed in writing
prior to the auction or to list the lot numbers on which you want
to bid personally by phone during the auction.
